- the rss screen saver for windows

  Long time, no see...
This has been a very busy summer. No excuses, but my free time to devote to all my pet projects has been very limited. That said, I do have an update to rsssaver in the works.

I've been playing with the shift/alt/crtl keys as modifiers for the animation and as input for the saver. If you notice while rsssaver is running pressing a shift key does not cause it to end.

I was thinking that left shift would cause the current news item to lock into a readable space in the screen center, the right shift would "hurry" to the next item, and the ctrl key would go to the next feed. The alt key would bring up an "about" screen and help. This all needs to be tested, but I'm pretty sure it will work.

I've also experimented with randomization of news items, two monitor support, some additional preset feeds, color presets, and a few other tricks.

Cross your fingers!
This site is the home of rsssaver -- the rss screen saver for windows. Currently in open beta, rsssaver will preview RSS feeds from the net and visualize them during your computer's "inactive" time.
